Cardiology

Beaumont-RCSI Hospital’s Cardiology Department is a leading centre for cardiovascular care, providing a full spectrum of services for patients with heart-related conditions. The department and  also delivers education, training, advocacy and is involved in high quality research. 

As one of Ireland’s premier cardiology departments, we offer a wide range of diagnostic, therapeutic, and interventional cardiology services to patients.  The department is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and is staffed by a highly experienced team of consultant cardiologists, specialist nurses, and healthcare professionals dedicated to improving heart health.

We accept referrals from both GP and secondary care physicians. Referrals can be made via Healthlink, email cardiologyadmin@beaumont.ie or post.

Advanced Cardiac Diagnostics

ECG, echocardiography, stress tests, and Holter monitoring

Interventional Cardiology

  • Electrophysiology studies and ablation 
  • Coronary catheterization and angioplasty (stents)
  • Device implantation including pacemakers and defibrillators
  • Structural heart disease intervention including PFO, ASD closure and Watchman implantation
  • Loop recorder implantation
  • Advanced heart failure device therapy (CRT)

Heart Failure Management

Personalized treatment plans to manage complex conditions, with an experienced and well established Heart Support Unit

Cardiac Rehabilitation

Our internationally recognised cardiac rehabilitation unit offers holistic programs focused on recovery, lifestyle changes, and long-term heart health.
