All blood tests need to be booked through SwiftQueue, our blood test appointment system.
All blood testing is conducted in Beaumont Hospital Phlebotomy Department (blood testing) which is located just inside the main entrance.
Information for patients where their GP has requested they have a blood test.• Patients must bring the blood request form which the GP will give you. • Patients will be told by their GP if they need to fast before their blood test (not eat for a period of time before their blood test).• GP patients for Glucose Tolerance Tests should fast for 12 hours before the test which will take two hours to complete.
Information for patients where a Beaumont Hospital Consultant has requested blood tests (for example, prior to or during an out-patient appointment (OPD))• Patients must bring their blood test request which the doctor will give you at your last appointment.• If you are told to have your blood tests completed before your next appointment, immediately book that appointment on SwiftQueue for two weeks prior to that appointment.
