Work stoppages are planned across the health service on Wednesday, 14 October which will impact Beaumont Hospital. All non-urgent appointments and services will be cancelled if the work stoppage goes ahead and patients will be contacted.
All inpatients with alcohol related issues can be referred to the Alcohol Liaison Service for guidance re alcohol detoxification and Motivational interviewing. Onward referral to Community based alcohol supports is made if the patient agrees, for continuity of care. There has been significant development of Community Substance use Disorders Services in Dublin North City/ County in recent years. Additional Community supports is also sourced for families.
