There are a number of B&Bs, guesthouses and hotels in the local area. Please note that we can’t take responsibility for the standards of those accommodations, however you might be able to find reviews online that can help you to make your decision or check the Board Fáilte Guide.
Our wards are all mixed gender wards (both male & female)
We do not allow flowers to be delivered to patients in the interests of space constraints and hygiene requirements.
Our smoking policy In line with the law, we prohibit smoking in Beaumont Hospital. You can find out more about this in our Smoke Free information leaflet, which you can find on every ward. If you would like to stop smoking and want some support, you can contact our Health Promotion Department on +353 1 809 2941 to use our Quit Smoking support service.
You can use your mobile phone – but we ask that you do not disturb other patients. In some areas where there is vital medical equipment, we may ask you not to use your phone as it may interfere with the operation of this equipment.

The Death Certs Office in the hospital will contact the next of kin of the deceased and will provide a Death Notification Form which can be collected at main reception or can be sent by registered post. You will need to bring this form to any Civil Registration Office to register the death and they will provide you with a Death Cert. You can phone the Death Certs office @ +353 1 809 2182 or email us at deathcerts@beaumont.ie.
Payments can be made over the phone with your credit or debit card. Please phone the patient accounts department on +353 1 809 2404 / +333 1 809 3415 / +353 1 809 3499 between the hours of 10am to 12:30pm and 14:30pm to 16:00pm.
You can pay your bill by cheque via post. Please make cheques payable to Beaumont Hospital and post it directly to the finance department. Please include your medical record number (MRN) or your invoice number with your payment. Please do not send cash through the post. You can also visit the cash office on the main concourse if you wish to pay by cash. You can find more information on hospital charges HERE
Our staff are committed to the protection of patients’ privacy; thus as you will appreciate, that speaking about a patients’ progress must be carefully controlled.Please remember, while our staff are prepared to help with enquiries at all times, their primary role is the delivery of care to the patient. Unnecessary enquiries should be avoided. One spokesperson from the family should be appointed to contact the Hospital for updates on their relative – that persons name should be given to the ward staff and be recorded on the patients chart if possible.

Beaumont Hospital is a university teaching hospital that trains doctors, nurses and other health professionals. You might see students on the wards and they may help to deliver your care or treatment under supervision once you agree. They may also be present during your procedure or operation.
BoHO Cafe is located along the main corridor of the Hospital, across from the Hospital Shop. Opening hours are from 8:00am to 6:00pm Monday to Friday and from 9:00am to 6:00pm Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays. The cafe is operated independently from the hospital
The Hospital Chaplaincy Department is inter-denominational and provides a full pastoral services for patients of all faiths. We have a lovely Chapel which is open 24 hours for quiet reflection. Mass is celebrated from Monday to Friday at 1pm, on Saturday at 7pm and Sunday at 1pm. Please let the ward staff know if you are leaving the ward
The Hospital Shop is located along the main corridor of the Hospital across from the Café. Opening hours are from 7am-8pm Monday to Friday and from 9am - 6pm Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays. The shop is operated independently from the hospital.
Yes, free WiFi is available throughout the Hospital. You are welcome to bring in a device and connect to the Guest WiFi. We ask that you bring earphones so you don’t disturb other patients.
Routine visiting hours are
During routine visiting hours we allow two visitors per patient. We do not allow children under the age of 16 to visit unless in exceptional circumstances such as compassionate visiting or End of Life Care.
Visiting can sometimes be curtailed or suspended at very short notice for infection control purposes.

Patients who are seriously ill, injured or worried that their life is in danger should always attend the ED where they will be treated as a priority.
Patients presenting to Emergency Department are seen in order of clinical priority. People presenting with non-urgent or minor conditions and injuries may experience extended wait times.

There are times when we need to share your information to ensure you receive the best care and treatment. We may share your information with your GP, Community services, other hospitals or care facilities. We also give reports to organisations such as the HSE, HIQA, the National Cancer Programme, the National Office of Clinical Audit and others. These reports may be put together using information collected from patients.
